The system provides citizens and visitors of Bracebridge a reliable and courteous transportation system in clean, safe and accessible vehicles, recognizing individual passengers needs and requirements.
A temporary bus will be in service starting August 29, 2016. The fully accessible transit bus with a foldout ramp (deployed upon request), 20 seats and space for 2 wheelchair placements will be available late Fall 2016. The Transit service is FREE for the first month. Bracebridge Mobility will also be available late Fall 2016.
The Bracebridge Transit Service features an accessible 20 seat passenger bus complete with 2 wheelchair tie down areas, and room to stand.
Route: This service will operate an hourly schedule on a single route.
For people with physical disabilities preventing them from using Bracebridge Transit and unable to walk a distance of 175 meters / 600 feet, Bracebridge Mobility offers a fully accessible vehicle with door to door service within the Urban Centre of Town. Call 705-645-8444 for more information about the application process and the launch date for this service.
Conventional Transit runs on a 60 minute service loop servicing 47 bus stop locations. The following hours are provided for the conventional transit service.
Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (11 hours per day)
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (10 hours)
Sunday: No service
Bracebridge Transit does not operate on the following statutory holidays.
